Beaches

There are no shortage of stunning beaches at Port Hughes, along the Copper Coast or indeed the entire Yorke Peninsula.

With its crystal clear waters, South Beach is a popular swimming spot for locals and visitors. It's also a favourite among kids who love hunting for crabs in the rocks, looking at fish in the rock pools and exploring other hidden treasures in the rocky outcrops that make up this breathtaking Port Hughes shoreline.

On the other side of the Port Hughes jetty, you'll find Simms Cove, a sandy seashore that extends for 4 kilometres up to Moonta Bay. Simms Cove is a superb swimming beach with shallow, calm and clear waters that throws turquoise in the sunshine.

Follow the coastline around and you'll find another local favourite family beach at Moonta Bay.

The Copper Coast boasts some of South Australia's best holiday beaches, perfect for swimming, fishing or just as a base to take in some of most beautiful seascapes you'll find in Australia.
